Glass Harmonium is by Highest Honor's son Verglas who has sired four Group 1 winners amongst his 40 individual stakes winners. Verglas was Australia's Leading Sire by Average Earnings Index in the 2011-12 racing season. Glass Harmonium is out of the Darshaan mare Spring Symphony who is out of the Sadler's Wells mare Well Head.
Glass Harmonium began his racing career in Ireland, where he broke his maiden over 1400m as a 2YO. He added the Group 3 Gordon Richards Stakes at Sandown and the Listed Hampton Court Stakes at Royal Ascot before making the trip to Australia. Here, amongst many notable performances, Glass Harmonium won the Group 1 VRC LKS Mackinnon Stakes and retired to stud the winner of $1,440,750.
From only a small number of runners, Glass Harmonium has already sired the Stakes winner Glass Warrior, the stakes-placed Grand Symphony and the Flemington winner Nordic Symphony. His progeny have sold for up to $150,000 at auction.
