The Barty family-owned mare Lady Violet is certainly one of the more remarkable mares in the Australian Stud Book.

The grey holds the record for producing 18 consecutive foals and while that record came to an end last season, she is certainly still out there being successful.

Yesterday at Cessnock her Elvstroem 3yo son NAMAKA scored an effortless win at the third time of asking and the Paul Perry-trainee looks likely to improve again.

He is the 11th winner out of the mare following Group 1 winner NOTOIRE and Listed winners WELL KNOWN and TEMPEST TOST.

Lady Violet's last foal is a very attractive grey son of Churchill Downs (pictured), catalogued as Lot 211 in the Melbourne Premier Sale and we look forward to your inspection prior to the sale.
