Blue Gum Farm has a long history of accommodating students in their quest for experience and this afternoon we hosted a visit of students from the University of Melbourne.

Accompanied by Senior Lecturer Dr Stuart Barber, 40 students spent three hours on farm to witness Dr Angus McKinnon at work in the crush, vetting mares for their potential covers in the the forthcoming weeks.

A tour of the farm was presided over by Sarah Lindsay-Field and the students were able to get an insight into our 'Brookside' facility and yearling preparation thanks to yearling manager Tracey Paterson with assistant Belinda Reidy.
