Patinack Farm's Meddler (3 f Elvstroem - Lettercee) produced an electric finish to score in Monday's $40,000 Balmoral Handicap over 1100 metres for fillies on the Kensington track at Randwick.

Waited with off the early speed, Meddler burst through between horses in the straight to dash clear and go on to score a most impressive victory, coming right away to defeat Forward Miss by a widening four lengths.

Meddler was making her first start since May 7 and the three-year-old has now won three of her nine starts, two of them in Sydney and in Brisbane.

This is yet another example of the effectiveness of Elvstroem, whose 2010 fee of $16,500 (inclusive of gst) surely must make him the best value 'Group 1' stallion in Victoria.
