We are delighted with the way the first-crop yearlings by Churchill Downs are progressing and the marketplace clearly shares our view that this son of Danehill is destined for stud success.
At the recently completed Inglis Classic Yearling Sale in Sydney. Churchill Downs headed the first-season sires by average with three or more sold, weighing in with three lots sold from three offered at an average of $40,000.
This figure is a whopping 20 per cent better than the next best Strada ($31,233) and then the next best Holy Roman Emperor ($28,333).
Coming off a $12,000 conception fee, the figures show that Churchill Downs is set to achieve great things and the best is yet to come with some superb examples catalogued in the Melbourne Premier Sale.
They have their sires physique. Size, scope and a precocious look that appeals to buyers.
