KEEP ON ROLLING

Like a production line, Elvstroem keeps delivering winners. Last weekend it was Flemington, this weekend it was Rosehill on Saturday and a promising 3YO in Daybreak saluting at Ballarat on the Sunday.

On Saturday at Rosehill it was Guy Walter's honest performer in Hardbreak Hotel registering career win number four with an authoritive win in the Summer Super Saver Ticket BM80 Handicap over 1500m. The 5YO son on Elvstroem has continually improved throughout his career and seems destined for a profitable summer campaign after racing away for Rodney Quinn to win by three lengths. Having settled him just in behind the speed, Quinn angled out at the top of the straight and once unleashed by Quinn, he quickly put pay to his six rivals.

Hardbreak Hotel is proving a sound investment for his owners having won four of his twenty starts and placing on another eight occassions for earnings now approaching $120,000.

Shifting to Victoria on Sunday and it was Robbie Griffiths' promising 3YO in Daybreak who made it two impressive victories from only three starts when saluting in the Acute Health 0-68 Handicap over 1200m at Ballarat. Brad Rawiller gave the promising son of Elvstroem a lovely run in transit, settling just behind the speed before producing a strong finish to score over some highly touted 3YO's from the stables of Snowden, Kavanagh and Weir.
