Blue Gum Farm stallion Elvstroem’s stellar season continued at Sandown on Wednesday with Deliver The Dream and Il Sogno notching up a running double giving the 5 time group 1 winner his 67th Individual winner of the 2010/2011 season (67 winners Worldwide in 2010-2011 of $2,252,543 to 20 July 2011 - figures courtesy of Arion Pedigrees)

Deliver The Dream is the third living foal from the Doug Harrison trained and owned Fayrouz (Sovereign Red) who retired with 10 wins ands stakes earnings of $253,885. She is also the dam of another very smart Elvstroem filly in Valrouz who has shown enormous ability in Melbourne this season.

Deliver The Dream is a graduate of the Bluegum Farm draft at the 2009 Wm Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale and sold for $160,000 to Brian Mayfield-Smith before transferring to Peter Moody two seasons ago when Mayfield-Smith announced his retirement. Yesterday's 1-3/4 length win of the Le Pine Funerals Hcp over 1600 metres was Deliver the Dreams sixth win of her sixteen start career and took her career earnings to $137,273.

 Il Sogno, a three year old filly trained by Bruce and Jean Purcell gave Elvstroem his second leg of the double at Sandown. Il Sogno is out of the Group Winning Perugino mare Tickle My and is a homebred for good Blue Gum Farm client Ken Breese. Yesterdays 1-1/4 length victory was her second career victory from only eight career starts and takes her earnings to in excess of $50,000.

Elvstroem is currently the leading Victorian based Third Season Sire and is in the top 10 in the Australian overall ratings for third season sires. At a fee of $8,800 in 2011 he looks extremely good value.
