Today at Sandown saw a most impressive winner at only her second start back from a long spell. That horse is Deliver the Dream (4YO Mare - Elvstroem x Fayrouz) who in winning the Betfair Handicap over 1400m took her impressive record to four wins from only ten starts and $80k in prizemoney. Jason Benbow did a terrific job getting the mare from an outside gate to settle just in behind the speed and upon straightening he turned her loose to race away by 1-3/4 lengths

As indicated by her impressive record Deliver the Dream now a 4YO mare has continued to display the families racing talent inherited from her mother Fayrouz, who herself was a multiple city winner and G2 placed. Todays win also continued the strong relationship and history of Deliver The Dream's breeder, Doug Harrison with Blue Gum Farm. Doug has been a long time supporter of Blue Gum Farm and its stallions and looking at Fayrouz's breeding record gives every indication of this with the mare being covered by a resident stallion from 2001 to 2010 with the mare not being served in 2009.

With the above in mind Doug sent the mare to Churchill Downs in 2010 and we can report that the mare is successfully in foal on a 23rd October covering.

Congratulations to all concerned on todays victory and what lays ahead for both racemare and broodmare.

Deliver The Dream - 4YO Mare Elvstroem x Fayrouz, sold by Blue Gum Farm As Agent 2008 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale to Brian Mayfield Smith for $160,000.
