Wednesday night at Happy Valley was the stage for Australian bred horses to continue on there winning ways. Of the eight races to be contested, four of these were won by Australian bred horses. One of the most impressive on the night was Compact Yarn (4YO G x Forest Song) who has shown a real affinity for the track having won two of his last three starts at the track and running second on the other occasion.

Tonights win in the Noonday Gun Handicap over 1800m also saw Elvstroem's second win in Asia for the week with Gruenfeld winning most impressively in Macau on the Saturday.
