The momentum continues to build for Danehill's promising son Churchill Downs (pictured above). We have seen his first crop show considerable promise on the race track and we continue to see his offspring sell well in the sale ring. This was further evidenced in Tasmania yesterday where Churchill Downs topped the 2011 Magic Millions Tasmanian Yearling Sale.
Mark Riley went to $62,000 to secure Lot 88, a bay filly who is a half sister to this season's juvenile stakes placegetter Triple Asset - the favourite for today's $50,000 Shaw Magic Millions 2YO Classic at Mowbray.
Congratulations to Armidale Stud on this tremendous result. We note that the dam, Caralowe is successfully in foal to Churchill Downs once again on a 17th October service.
We look forward to the momentum continuing at next weeks 2011 Inglis Premier Sale where we have nine lots sired by Churchill Downs to go under the auctioneers hammer. To view these lots go here.Back
