There was only one Red Arrow yearling offered at this year’s Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale. This was a colt from the Wild Harmony mare Treasure Box who, after a very spirited bidding duel, was eventually knocked down to Australian Bloodstock for $100,000.
Fast forward two months to the Inglis Australian Weanling Sale and the scenario was much the same. Just the one entry, a colt from the Canny Lad mare Lassetoile, who provided yet another very enthusiastic bidding duel which finally saw respected judge Shane Crawford of Regal Farm hold sway at $48,000.
This colt was a half brother to the very promising John Sargent trained 2yo Orange Peel, a winner at her only start in New Zealand who was subsequently put away with Spring riches in mind.
With similar markings to his handsome sire, the Lassetoile colt (pictured) is a lovely individual. With a great attitude and a real athletic walk about him, he spent more time out of his box than in it at Newmarket. And we have more quality Red Arrow weanlings just like him here at Blue Gum Farm. Give us a call to see what we can do for you with this royally bred son of Red Ransom.
