archive News on Blue Gum Farm
On Tuesday the 11th of February Blue Gum Farm hosted a very pleasant lunch at which our draft of yearlings for this year’s Melbourne Premier Sale were paraded. It was a lovely summer day, quite a contrast to the Sunday previous which saw a series of nasty bushfires started around the State. We had a bit of smoke haze to contend with but those that were able to make the trip to the farm seemed to thoroughly enjoy it.
William Inglis & Son had again organised a bus tour of farms with yearlings in the Premier Sale and they made Blue Gum Farm their lunch time stop on this day. It was wonderful to have all those folks with us. Some, like Bill Wilde and friends from Warrnambool, had travelled from far away to pick up the bus. It was interesting to hear afterwards that there were many ‘favourites’ amongst those that got back on the bus to continue the tour on the day. That has been the case all the way through our pre sale parades this year and we believe it augers well for a successful sale.
Blue Gum Farm are selling 21 yearlings at this year’s Melbourne Premier Sale. They will be available for inspection at Oaklands Junction from Wednesday the 26th of February.
