Natural Runner!

Natural Runner!

Last Saturday saw the first runner for Red Arrow, Blue Gum Farm’s superbly bred son of Red Ransom.

Adelaide’s Morphettville race track was the venue where local trainer John Croucher started his filly, Scarlet Arrow, over 1000 metres.
Scarlet Arrow (pictured as a yearling) showed a terrific natural turn of foot and went straight to the front from her inside barrier. She wobbled around the corner a bit but on straightening she flattened out beautifully and kicked strongly. She was only collared in the last part of the race, finished a good second and would no doubt derive great benefit from the experience

Scarlet Arrow is out of the stakes winning Euclase mare Star Hit, herself a winner of six races including the SAJC WH Wylie Handicap (LR). At Stud Star Hit has already produced the six time winning, group placed mare Zodiac Queen and Brisbane winner Confident Star. She has this season produced a bay colt by Red Arrow and will be bred back to him again.
