Blue Gum and Proud

Last Saturday night the annual North East Victoria Thoroughbred Breeders Association awards were held at the Mitchellton Winery. With a number of awards up for grabs, we are proud to announce that past Blue Gum Farm stallion manager, Jake Philips, was awarded the youth award for excellence.

This award could not have gone to a better person. Possessing a great work ethic, terrific horse handling ability and fantastic eye for detail, it was wonderful to see Jake recognised with this award. This is an even greater achievement when one considers that Jake is legally blind.

We at Blue Gum Farm are proud to have an association with such a hard working, polite young person and value his ongoing input in to our farm, now on a part time basis.
