Elvis just keeps getting winner after winner!

While the 2012-13 racing season is coming to a close, resident Blue Gum Farm stallion Elvstroem continues to go from strength to strength.

The table below shows the top ten stallions in Australia by winners for the current season, and what a collection of stallions it is. Yet only two of them have a higher winners to runners percentage than Elvstroem. A comparison of these stallion’s 2013 service fees certainly makes interesting reading too. Elvstroem is the only stallion to be standing for under $18,150 who has sired over 100 winners this season!

Table 1 Leading Australian Stallions by winners as of 25th July 2013.

It would be fair to say that Elvstroem’s progeny just keep getting better with age. In 2010-11 he sired 63 individual winners and had progeny earnings of $1,849,219. In 2011-12 he sired 82 individual winners who had earnings of $2,735,038. His earnings for this season are just about to go through $3,500,000 and he’s not finished yet. Recent Melbourne winners Captivating Lady, Rock Princess and Danestroem are all in very good form and could yet further add to his tally. And is yesterday’s Sandown winner Don’t Get Excited a special one in the making?

With the ability to continue to produce winners week in week out and at an extremely affordable price, Elvstroem continues to prove his worth to the Australian racing and breeding industry. He is well worth your consideration again this season.
