Real Saga's early success highlighting Turffontein's sireline yet again.

Real Saga's early success highlighting Turffontein's sireline yet again.

With our involvement in World Champion Two Year Old Johannesburg's multiple Group One winning son Turffontein, we have been only to happy to sing the praises of other young stallions from the sireline who are doing so well in the northern hemisphere of late. Other sons of Johannesburg in Scat Daddy, Teuflesberg and Sageburg have all made wonderful starts to their stud careers overseas. Here in Australia, it is another member of the same Storm Cat sireline in Real Saga who is proving that he to has the ability to pass on these wonderful genes.

In what would appear to be a very competitive year for First Season Sires, Real Saga currently leads Sebring and Northern Meteor, having already sired three winners from seven starters with progeny earnings of $213,200. This figure could rise dramatically next Saturday as Real Saga has two runners in the $2,000,000 Magic Millions Classic, including last Saturday's ultra impressive Eagle Farm winner Real Surreal. Making it two wins from three starts, the Kelso Wood trained Real Surreal is amongst the favourites for this rich juvenile event. She will be joined by another Eagle Farm two year old winner in Choose A Saga.

Turffontein's first crop of yearlings are about to grace Australia's sale rings with representation at the Gold Coast Magic Millions and Sydney Classic Sale in January. He has 14 yearlings catalogued for the Melbourne Premier Sale in March with seven of those being members of the Blue Gum Farm draft at that sale. We look forward very much to parading these yearlings in Melbourne as well as two of the only three Real Saga yearlings being offered there.
