Park Heiress

Within four and half months of Frank purchasing Park Express, New Approach had won his maiden, was a Group 1 winner of the Dewhurst and National Stakes, was undefeated in five starts and was the Champion Juvenile in Europe.

Special congratulations must go to our good friend Frank Meduri. Frank has a number of mares in residence at Blue Gum Farm, none more important now than Park Heiress, the half-sister to this year’s Epsom Derby winner New Approach. Frank purchased the Sadler’s Wells mare at the 2007 Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale for $38,000. At the time Park Heiress, out of the Ahonoora Group 1 winning mare Park Express, was a half-sister to two Group winners but her pedigree bloomed spectacularly soon after via the deeds of her Galileo half-brother New Approach.

Park Heiress

Within four and half months of Frank purchasing Park Express, New Approach had won his maiden, was a Group 1 winner of the Dewhurst and National Stakes, was undefeated in five starts and was the Champion Juvenile in Europe. To crown those achievements the colt, whose stud career is now assured, triumphed in the Epsom Derby after seconds in both the English and Irish 2,000 Guineas. Interestingly New Approach’s Group 1 winning distance range of seven furlongs to a mile and half closely matches that of Elvstroem, a horse that Frank has enjoyed great success with as part-owner and breeder and whom Park Heiress is now in-foal to and will be visiting again this year. Park Heiress has a strong, correct weanling colt by Not A Single Doubt.
